Microsoft predict that the Xbox 360 will outsell the Playstation 3 this holiday season. Like no sh*t Sherlock. What they need to tell us if Xbox Live will be working during this season, because it didn't last year.
With the New Xbox Experience, don't be surprised if the strain, cuts off your Gears of War 2 live. Last year, if you remember, Xbox Live was down over two days over christmas due to major outage. We had to spend precious, invaluable quality time with our loving families instead.
The figures that Microsoft also include are all the people who bought a new Elite console, simply because they had a Red Ring of Death and couldn't be without a console during christmas. There was a lot I'm sure, because I was one of them.
I don't like to bash Microsoft, but I wish they would give something back if the service goes down for a while or you get Red Ring of Death. Because we are paying for the Live service, unlike the Playstation 3 or the Wii and if you pay you expect a good service. With the New Xbox Experience, they could easily give us something for free. Free movie rental? Probably not. More likely to get a free Microsoft t-shirt for our avatars.
