Sometimes I just can't quite figure out Microsoft. I just discovered that I can plug in my Apple iPod into my Xbox 360 and play music while I play games. I know I am late on these things sometimes, but I always wondered why there was a music transport buttons (like play and rewind) on the Xbox guide button blade. Too busy playing Gears of War to notice these things.
I just wonder which Microsoft employee let this feature slip and if any of his bosses know about it. Nothing is mentioned on the side of the box or in any promotion. You have to download the "Optional Media Update" from Xbox Live Marketplace, but it is well buried amongst the games and videos. It does even mention the name Apple, just the description "lets you play your iPod"
Now what about the "Zune?" Why did they just not say "portable music device, but not the Zune because Gamestop stop selling them. Although Target and Wal-Mart have got truckloads."
